One of the largest website Ashley Madison, a dating website for married people who wish to cheat their spouse has been hacked.
Ashley Madison was founded in 2001 containing more than 37 million users helping people who are in relationship cheat.
Customers data had been stolen by hackers and users information was posted online before the breach was fixed. Its unclear how much of user account data has been posted online.
The hackers, who called themselves the Impact Team, said they had managed to steal the real names and addresses of the site’s users, including those who had previously paid to “delete” their accounts.
Avid Life media said that, “stringent security measures in place, including working with leading IT vendors from around the world.”
The Canada-based company said a new user joins every six seconds, and that it is “the world’s largest website for married men and women looking to have a discreet affair.
